Mini Ethnography
This ethnography is going to take a look at the Metaliteracy Mooc and how it promotes information fluency.
The MOOC is described in the following storify:
WHAT IS INFORMATION FLUENCY?
According to the University of Alaska Fairbanks it is a state of competency. It has three main areas: domain knowledge, critical thinking and presentation & participation. These are called the information fluency triad.
I also take a look at some accessibility issues that have arisen in the MOOC, that have been the source of some discussion.
Finally, I look at the discussion forum in general and how it promotes the social element of the course.
