I have posted this as an example of how participants are struggling to start any discussions within this MOOC. 2 days ago this article was posted with some good, insightful comments. Since then it has received one reply from an instructor and one anonymous reply. The post has been viewed 27 times.
In fact, to date, the General Discussion forum has a total of 3 threads with an aggregate of 9 posts and 141 views.

Good, easy to use, software does remove one barrier to entry. It can also inspire you to learn skills because they appear to be more accessible. For example, just by using the ‘text’ button when editing my WordPress blog I can see how the hypertext works in my entry. I can experiment with it becoming more digitally literate along the way.
