I really enjoyed your explanation of this in our tutorial last week Nick. as you said, the two heads looking away from each other is superb, the fleshy body and the digital figure seeming to be in dispute.
The theme of evolution or progression is also captured in the next section, with the transition of ‘Man’ from primate. It seems hard to get away from notions of progress when we consider technology and the digital, as if it is part of some preordained development. But I wonder if that limits how we can understand our relationships with technology.
