I feel to a large extent, I’ve already commented on the significant ‘triggers’ of the week (the content and process led, community and interpersonal communication dynamic of my MOOC cannot be understated, posts hopefully indicate this within my lifestream, and I’ve reflected on this in the Kozinets post, it was nice that Martyn found it useful too). Additionally at this juncture I could say I find it difficult to separate an idea of my ‘life stream’ from the idea of ‘blogging’, or writing generally (there are however apart from anything else stylistic issues here). However, let’s be clear, the introduction of automated processes, and my thoughts about how extending their application, will work for me within both current and future professional contexts and research, are a real emerging theme here. But also as the previous Wired post indicates in my lifestream, I may simultaneously be in an accelerating process of simply being packaged, (more than I already am) as a part of an existing and ever expanding breed of ‘pan’ commercial product within all of this. Food for thought, indeed.
The Hayes ‘What is Netnography?’ slide show, posted within my lifestream was highly instructive, in setting out steps and procedures of netnography research projects and there are a whole range of similar slide shows alongside it. It has been interesting to note the the importance of netnography in on line market research as ‘digital insight’.
